Management Team

Marat Khabiev was born in Russia in 1975 and grew up in Ufa. After completing his undergraduate studies at Ufa State Petroleum Technical University, he founded a retail company that has been successfully operating since 2001. Due to active involvement in all major operational and strategic aspects of his business Marat gained considerable trading experience, learned to watch macro and micro trends and developed a general entrepreneurial mind-set. Marat holds an MBA degree from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), where he specialised in banking and finance. Subsequent to his MBA, Marat was hired by a leading Swiss bank as a private wealth manager. In this role he became familiar with the global financial markets and acquired a profound understanding of portfolio management and wealth consulting.

Marat speaks Russian, English, German and some Turkish. In his free time he plays tennis, chess, enjoys classical literature and good music. Marat is married and has a one-year old daughter.

André Lehmann is a German citizen and was born in 1979. After completing his A-Levels he studied Economics in Cambridge (UK) and Berlin (Germany) with a specialisation in Finance and Controlling. André holds an MBA from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), where he pursued the Strategy and Finance track. He has substantial experience in financial planning & controlling from his work as a CFO of a leading global recycling company of non-ferrous precious and base metals. Previously, he held responsible positions within a global tier 1 bank and a Big 4 audit company. André has a deep knowledge of the global commodity markets and further expertise in setting up fund structures and vehicles in tax efficient jurisdictions. In addition, he offers substantial exposure in the areas of company valuation, cross border taxation, transfer prices and real estate ventures.

André speaks German, English and some French. In his free time he pursues various sports activities, such as tennis, swimming and skiing. Moreover, André enjoys good books, chess and going to the theatre.

Maria Meier is an Austrian citizen, who has lived in Germany, the United States, Italy, France and Switzerland. With almost seven years of work experience in the European banking industry, Asset Management as well as Private Banking, Maria has gained extensive knowledge of capital markets, portfolio strategies and investment vehicles. Her successful track record spans from traditional to alternative investments and from established to emerging and frontier markets. In addition, Maria has detailed knowledge of risk analysis, hedging and option strategies. Last but not least, Maria is an established entrepreneur: offline and online – she has successfully founded several companies and has board experience.

Maria speaks fluently German, English, Italian and French. She is a passionate athlete: skiing, surfing, sailing, and running are her favourite sports – Maria strives for personal challenges! Moreover, she enjoys cooking, playing the violin, the arts and travelling the world.

Andreas Beyer was born in Switzerland in 1979. He obtained his major degree in private law at the University of Bern (Switzerland) and was admitted to the Swiss bar in 2008. Besides his advisory mandate for Tauro Investments, he is the Head of Legal & Compliance Switzerland of a global leading consumer electronics company. Besides other areas of law, Andreas’ core competencies and attention lies in the fields of contract law, corporate and competition law.

Andreas speaks German, English, French and some Italian. He is passionate in sports activities and enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities.
